Testimonial: How I went from ZERO skin care routine to my beloved TMO routine
[DISCLAIMER: After initial use of the product, I was hired by Tierra Mia Organics to write their content and have done so since 2015.] For as long as I can remember, I've been the luckiest duckling when it comes to my skin. In my teen years, I didn't have the acne problems my friends did. Sure, I'd get a pimple here and there along with Aunt Flow, but nothing out of the ordinary, nothing that made me want to cover up my face in foundation. And before you get all angry about that and think I'm bragging, PLEASE DON'T, know that I'm aware of how lucky I am, and I'm so incredibly grateful. I have no idea how or why I got this fortunate, my older sister sure wasn't, so I have a hard time giving credit to genetics, but here we are. I'm a lucky lady, I know it, and I'm SO grateful.
Because of my luck, and since I didn't have any real skin care issues to contend with, I always washed my face with warm water, nothing else. No face soap, no acne treatments, nothing, and it always worked. My skin stayed the same, and I continued with my routine of nothing well into my twenties. It actually got to the point where I was scared of using anything on my face. I mean, if 26 years of doing nothing worked, why start adding anything to it, right? Well, then a friend of my mom's told me that using lotion, even just once a day, is necessary if you want to keep your skin healthy, vibrant, and wrinkle-free, and so I started to stress. I was worried that adding anything to my nothing routine would shock my system—I'd go from no issues to all issues, and so, like any terrified semi-vain woman, I kept up with my nothing routine.
And then there was Tierra Mia Organics. My friend told me about this company that was making all natural skin care products. And at first, of course, the cynic in me said "sure....all natural...right...as if!", and then she explained to me the principles behind Tierra Mia Organics. She told me that they use RAW goat's milk (as opposed to pasteurized), so that all the deliciously helpful and good nutrients in the milk STAY in the milk, so those benefits can be passed on to the skin. She explained how the pH of goat's milk is the closest to that of human skin, which meant there wouldn't be such a shock to the system. She also told me how they use food grade preservatives, meaning that the stuff is so natural, you can eat most of it (though it probably wouldn't taste the best). And (thankfully), I started listening, and then she gave me the biggest gift of all—the Emily Face Soap Bar, the Original Day Cream, and the Nourishing Night Cream. Well, now that I had the products, I'd be a real jerk not to try them.
I'm pretty sure you all know where I'm going with this. I was blown away. First of all the soap smelled really nice, and felt great on my skin. I didn't have any break outs or reactions, and I didn't feel my skin drying out. It just felt right. In fact, it felt as if I were still doing my nothing routine, except it smelled and felt way better. When I went for the Original Day Cream, I couldn't believe it. First of all, a little bit went a long way, and I loved how the cream seemed to soak into my skin as opposed to sitting on top of it. The Nourishing Night Cream was the same, except it felt even more creamy, as if it were made to last through all my tossing and turning through the night, and it does!
And now, my routine of nothing has changed DRASTICALLY, and my skin thanks me for it. I continue to be a lucky lady, and have my skin feeling and smelling great. I wash my face in the morning with either the Emily or Malika face bar (I just like to switch it up), I then use the Lavender Tonic and dab into the skin to give it a little extra moisture, and top it off with the MIRACULOUS Gotox. Once I've given the Gotox time to soak in (about 3 minutes), I put on the Original Day Cream and put on my make up. At night, when I'm back from work, I alternate between using one of the face bars again or the cleansing oil to remove my make-up. Once that's done, time for some Nourishing Night Cream and then it's off to sleep.
I continue to feel good about my skin, and have so many lovely people compliment me on it often. I may not have felt comfortable giving genetics the credit for my lucky stars, but I am 100% certain that Tierra Mia Organics is why my luck has stayed with me. I even think it may give luck to those who haven't been as fortunate as myself. If you're looking for a new skin care regimen, or have had problems with your skin, anything really, I recommend giving Tierra Mia Organics a try. Go on, you deserve it!
